Shopping lists

Everything you need to buy – from recipes, groups or typed in – added up.

Your lists

“Shopping Lists” shows your lists and your family's. Further down, you find “Temporary lists” and “Shared with you”, lists others shared with you.

  • A running list, which you shop again and again.
  • Shared by link: others add items to it.
  • A temporary list, and the day it is deleted.

Create a list

  1. Open “Shopping Lists” and press “Add Shopping List”.
  2. Give it a “Shopping List Name”.
  3. Add recipes and groups (see below), or single items with “Add Ingredient”.
  4. Press “Save”.
Good to know
  • Recipes and groups make lists too: “Add to a list or shop” on a recipe, “Create list” on a group.
  • Standard accounts keep up to 2 shopping lists of their own; temporary lists don't count.

Add recipes and groups

  1. Open the list and unfold “Add Recipe to List” or “Add Group to List”.
  2. Pick the recipe or group. For a recipe, set the servings and pick its sides.
  3. Press the + button, then “Save”.
Good to know
  • The same item in the same unit adds up: two recipes with 200 g onions each make 400 g.
  • Items marked “Optional”, and items others added by link, stay apart.

Add, change and remove items

“Add Ingredient” adds a single item. Change items right in the list, remove them with the bin, and press “Save” when you're done.

  • Added through the list's share link; the badge says by whom.
  • Ticked off in the store; it comes off the list once the shopping is finished.
  • “Recipes”: shows which recipes the item comes from.

Shop in the store

In the supermarket, open the list and press “Shop in store”. Its items are sorted by the sections of a store, and a tap ticks one off. Every tick is kept at once: there's nothing to save.

  1. Open the list and press “Shop in store”.
  2. Tap what goes into your cart; tap it again to untick it.
  3. At the checkout, press “Finish shopping”: the ticked items come off the list.
Good to know
  • Your family sees your ticks on their phones within seconds, so you can split up in the store.
  • No connection in the store? Your ticks are kept on your device and sent once it's back (see below).
  • The screen stays on while the page is open.
  • Changing a ticked item, or adding more of it, puts it back on the list.
  • Ordering leaves out what's ticked off, and so does “Send to Bring”.

Store sections

Items start under “Other”. Put each one into its section once, and it goes there on all your family's lists from then on.

  1. Press “Sort with AI” to let an AI put the items into their sections, or move them yourself with the three dots.
  2. Press “Arrange sections” at the bottom of the page.
  3. Move the sections up and down until they're in the order you walk through your store.
  • Moves the item to another section.
Good to know
  • “Sort with AI” comes with a PRO account. It sorts only items nobody in your family put into a section yet.
  • To sort, Greezy sends the items' names, and nothing else, to an AI: Anthropic's Claude, or Cloudflare's Workers AI.
  • The order is yours alone: everyone in your family arranges their own store.

Without reception

Supermarkets often have no reception. The shopping lists you opened recently still open there, with “Shop in store”: Greezy keeps them on your device.

Good to know
  • What you tick off without reception is kept on your device and goes to Greezy once it can be reached again, even if you close the page in the meantime.
  • A notice says when Greezy can't be reached and from what time the list it shows is. Once Greezy answers again, reload the page to see what has changed since.
  • Your family's ticks show up again once you're back online.
  • Changes to the list itself, like new items, can only be saved with a connection. Other pages need one too.
  • Signing out deletes what Greezy keeps on the device.

Running lists

Buy the same things every week? Tick “Is Running List?”: ordering won't take items off this list, and “Finish shopping” in the store only unticks them. So it's ready for next time.

Shop now: temporary lists

“Shop now” on a recipe or group makes a temporary list, ready to order. It's deleted after a week; saving it gives it another week, and “Keep list” keeps it for good.

Good to know
  • Temporary lists can't be shared.
  • A list you keep counts toward the 2 lists of a standard account.

Ticking off what you bought

Send products to a shop through Greezy, and their items come off the list by themselves. For dm, flaschenpost and REWE, where you order on their websites, the order page offers to tick them off.

In a store, tick off what goes into your cart with “Shop in store”, and “Finish shopping” takes it off the list (see above).

Bought something elsewhere? Remove it with the bin and press “Save”.

Good to know
  • Running lists keep their items.

Import a list from Bring!

  1. Press “Import from Bring” under “Shopping Lists”, or on a list to add to it.
  2. Log into Bring if Greezy asks.
  3. Pick the “Bring list” and untick what you don't want.
  4. Pick a list in “Add to” and press the import button.
Good to know
  • Your Bring list stays as it is.
  • Notes like “2 l, low-fat” become the amount and unit.
  • Bring comes with a PRO account.

Send a list to Bring!

  1. Open the list and press “Send to Bring”.
  2. Press “Open in Bring”: it opens the Bring app on your phone, or Bring's website.
  3. Bring shows your list as a recipe: add its articles to one of your Bring lists.
Good to know
  • No Bring login needed.
  • Bring gets the list as it was last saved, without what's ticked off in the store, and the link works for a week.
  • Bring comes with a PRO account.

Delete a list

Press “Delete” at the bottom of the list, or the bin next to it under “Shopping Lists”. It's gone for your family too.
