The cookbook
Recipes Greezy's users share with everyone: find, save, rate and comment on them, and publish your own.
What the cookbook is
The cookbook holds the recipes Greezy's users publish for everyone. Open it with “Cookbook” under “Recipes” in the menu, or at the bottom of every page.
Anyone can read it, without an account too, and search engines find its recipes.
Find recipes
Search by a recipe's name, an ingredient or a tag: every word you type has to match. Sort by the newest or the best rated.
Open a recipe to cook it: set the servings and every amount follows, and tick off the ingredients as you go.
Save a recipe
- Sign in and open the recipe in the cookbook.
- Press “Save to my recipes”: it becomes your own recipe, with its picture, to change, plan and shop for.
- Your copy stays as it is when the original changes or leaves the cookbook.
- Saved it before? “Open my copy” opens your copy.
- Copies count toward a standard account's limits.
Rate a recipe
Signed in, give a recipe one to five stars under “Your rating”. Tap other stars to change your rating, or “Remove” to take it back.
- The cookbook shows the average and how many people rated a recipe.
- Your family's own recipes get no stars from you.
Publish your recipe
- Open your recipe and press “Publish”.
- Read what the cookbook shows, confirm that you may publish the recipe and press “Publish in the cookbook”.
- The cookbook shows the recipe as you saved it, with its picture and source, and your name and picture from your account.
- Changes you save show there at once.
- Only whoever created a recipe publishes it. Your family sees “In the cookbook” on it.
- Recipes from other websites, like imported ones, usually may not be published: their texts and pictures belong to someone else.
- A recipe needs ingredients to be published. A copy from the cookbook isn't published again while the original is there.
Take it out again
Press “In the cookbook” on your recipe, then “Take it out”, and confirm. It leaves the cookbook at once.
- Its ratings and comments stay and come back when you publish it again.
- Copies others saved stay theirs.
- Deleting the recipe takes it out of the cookbook too, with its ratings and comments.
Comments
Under every recipe, signed-in users write comments: a question, a tip, how it turned out. Everyone sees them, with the writer's name and picture.
